About Rhys Wynne-Jones
Also known as the “mystery Nightchurch pianist”, went viral on social media after playing Bohemian Rhapsody start to finish at St. Mary’s Church in January 2024 when he was homeless.
After being featured on BBC News, ITV West Country, Cornwall Live and BBC Radio Cornwall, Rhys organised a special concert at the church in response to his newfound fame, raising almost £2000 for Nightchurch Penzance, an organisation that helps vulnerable and homeless people.
Rhys believes in using his talents to help others, regardless of his own personal circumstances. His other talents include fire circus skills and Morris dancing as well as writing, arranging and singing his own music. He can read music, play by ear and had perfect pitch.
Following on from that very first concert, Rhys has embarked on his first “Night Church Piano Tour”, appearing at some of Cornwall’s most stunning churches and venues including Carnglaze Cavern and the Hall for Cornwall.
Trevow are proud to be supporting him on his journey as he continues to raise thousands for local charities close to his heart.
