it’s almost 15 months since some random conversation between myself and Neil McMahon led to a meeting of minds and that with the invaluable support of our friends at Cornish Underground and Holroyd Design, the foundations of Trevow Music Management were put into place.
It’s been such a whirlwind that we’ve barely had time to think, let alone properly plan … but when we look back over the past year and a bit we feel very proud of what has been achieved and excited for the future!
Trevow have been involved in organising and hosting some memorable events including successful Nos Lowens (Cornish Dance nights), the first St. Piran Fest in Penzance which was rounded off with a mega Nos Lowen at the The Acorn Theatre and our first Culture and Heritage Day at The Ladder in Redruth.
We have had the pleasure of working with some of the finest musicians, singers and dancers that Cornwall has to offer and have had had the pleasure of supporting our artists to take Cornish Traditional music to festivals across the UK including Cornwall Folk Festival, Lowender, LOSTFEST, Golowan Festival, Chippenham Folk Festival in Wiltshire, Shrewsbury Folk Festival in Shropshire. One of our bands even made it across the channel to the amazing Festival Interceltique de Lorient!
Trevow have provided music, dance, singing and workshops for a variety of community events and private parties – to see so many people getting into the spirt of Cornish Tradition has been incredible and we’ve met so many new people and cemented friendships along the way
We have been delighted to see some of our artists releasing new Cornish music albums and EP’s and are very excited to see that there are so many more in the pipeline.
But this is just the start
Now that festival season is over we have begun planning for the coming year.
Over the next few days we will be finalising our rosta for 2025 with the addition of some exciting new lineups and then the fun begins!
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us so far – our artists, our dancers, people that booked the bands and to those that have provided services and expertise to help us to run successful events- but most importantly to all the wonderful people that have turned up, listened, danced their socks off and continue to do so … we appreciate it so much
Be sure to watch this space for lots of exciting new announcements and news about upcoming events and music releases and help spread the love!
Meur ras!
